Management and Training
Our Committees
- The on-going Business and Administration of Solace is conducted by the National Management Committee and the State Management Committee.
- The National Management Committee for Solace Australia Ltd consists of Solace members from participating states, who are elected to office at the Annual General Meeting, which alternates each year in person and via zoom.
- Likewise the State Management Executive Committees for Solace Association Inc in NSW, Qld, S.A. and W.A. consist of members elected to office at their Annual General Meeting each year.
- The State Management Executive Committee oversees Business and Administration also Training for Facilitators and Support Workers.
Our Training
Solace Group Facilitators, Support Workers and Phone Receptionists are drawn from within Solace membership in each state and provided training in Grief Management, Group Facilitation, Communication Skills and Solace History. Ongoing Facilitator Skills Training and Supervision are also provided.
Our Membership
- Membership is open to any person whose spouse or partner has died, regardless of the cause or time since their passing.
- A person may attend Solace up to 3 times before they are invited to become a member (this may differ from state to state please check your individual state requirements for membership).
- An annual membership fee assists with insurance, group related expenses and facilitator training.
- Members are required to be respectful and considerate of other members.
